The March 2012 results are up. It was an impressive turnout with 26 players. Jason continued his epic 2012 campaign with a big victory. Jason has been on an absolute tear with back-to-back second place finishes in January and February and then a big victory in March. He is running away in the Player of the Year standings but there is still a lot of poker to be played this year. Jason had to outlast Jim Wagner heads-up in the “Battle of the Bride’s Maids.” Jim went from being all-in blind when the table was really short handed to being heads up. He outlasted a three way show down with Darryn and Uncle Paully with 8-9 over Darryn’s A-high card and Paul’s K-9. Sometimes it pays to be lucky.
Wilenski finished third after taking a big blow early in the tournament when his aces got cracked against newcomer Glenn Tana’s K’s. Glenn hit a set on the flop and John somehow resisted going all-in. He battled back after that and had a solid tournament. Corey got fourth place after sneaking past Brian. Corey’s A-5 found a pair and beat Brian’s A-9. Brian finished just in the money in 5th.
Some impressive hands of the night was Kurt hitting quad 4’s.
Great write up. Makes me feel like I was there…. 😉
